Experience Pinedale

Pinedale is unlike most small towns your travels will send you through. You will quickly realize - this is a bustling little town with an unrivaled love for the outdoors. This makes sense when you consider the town's backdrop. There's simply nothing to compare to the Wind River Range. Witness the granite mountains turn pink during a sunset. Hop in the lake to cool down. Or visit in winter, and wonder how our world-class nordic trails can remain meticulously groomed.

Ice-Skate, Fat Bike, Nordic, & Downhill Ski

Every December and January the local lakes freeze (often clear!) making for the best ice-skating. We also have groomed fat-biking trails, world-class nordic skiing, and a local downhill resort.

Cruise Town with Bike Rentals

Beauty of a bike? You can cover so much terrain! Rent bikes from Geared Up and pedal the bike path to Fremont Lake and back. You are sure to encounter antelope!

Take Skyline Drive to See the Winds

The drive to the Wind River Range is breathtaking. Then you come around a bend and feel like you can reach out and touch Fremont Peak. It's magical and you need to experience it. Ask us for hiking suggestions!

Drink Coffee with the Locals

Check out Pine Coffee & Supply Co. located only one block away. Get your favorite espresso drink at this artisan coffee shop. While you wait, check out the local artwork on display.

Explore the Wind Rivers

In a word, the Wind River Mountain Range is magic. It is a place that breathes calm and joy into your life. We'll hold your extra luggage while you do a backpacking or horse pack trip.

Winter Carnival

A must-do activity is to attend the Town's Winter Carnival in mid-February. The ski-joring will have you falling head over heels for the cowboys and cowgirls barreling down the track at top speeds.

Unrivaled Rec Center

Whether you want an epic birthday swim party or you are training for a big event, the Pinedale Recreation Center will blow your mind for a town this size.

Enjoy The Museum of the Mountain Man

If you can't tell, we are history buffs around here. For a small town, we have a remarkable museum that we know you will love. If you're drawn to the Historical Chambers House, then you'll love this museum as well!

World-Class Fly Fishing

You can't beat getting an inside track on the local fishing holes. We highly recommend a guided fishing trip with Two Rivers Fishing Company.

Oh, And That's Not All

Take a backpacking trip into the Wind River Range. Soak in the mineral water at Granite Hot Springs between here and Jackson Hole. Even take a snowmachine tour in the winter! Check out the ice bar for a cool Wyoming Whiskey cocktail. Rather stay warm? Get a tour of Cowboy Country Distilling, a world-class distillery experience. Experience western culture at the local rodeos. Take wildlife and scenic photos. Fly fishing. You name it - if it is outside, we have it!
